Entering the end of 2020, the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KEMENPORA), and PB Esports Indonesia believe that the fire of the esports and gaming ecosystem in Indonesia will continue to burn until unpredictable times.

To continue to keep the flames at bay, KONI, KEMENPORA, and PB Esports are presenting the biggest esports tournament at the end of this year entitled KONI Cup 2020 which competes against Free Fire, one of the battle royale games that are very loved by Indonesian mobile gamers.

The KONI Cup 2020 esports tournament is the inaugural tournament presented by the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) as the sports authority in Indonesia with the aim of familiarizing esports with Indonesian society.

In addition, the 2020 KONI Cup which has a total prize of IDR 200 million also shows that the government, through KONI and PB Esports Indonesia, is providing positive support for sports that use video game media, or esports, in Indonesia.
